What we know about you, and why

The data this shop holds and what happens to it, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we ask for

  • name, delivery address, phone number and email, because a parcel cannot be addressed without them
  • your order history, which is also our accounting record
  • the content of your messages, stored alongside the relevant order
  • standard web logs, including page requests and approximate location, used for security and uptime

No payment instrument is stored here. The approval takes place in your bank’s app and we are told only that it succeeded.

Why we hold it

Three purposes only: delivery, customer support, and the records we are obliged to retain.

We never sell or trade customer data. It is not a revenue stream for this business.

Others involved

  • the courier carrying your parcel, who needs the address and a contact number
  • our host and mail provider, in the ordinary course of running the site
  • a regulator or court, where disclosure is legally compelled

Retention

Order data is retained for as long as accounting and tax rules in India require. Messages that are not tied to an order are deleted after resolution.

The Act gives you access, correction and erasure rights over your data, subject to records we must keep by law. Email sales@frameloftshop.shop and you will hear back inside a working day.

We use HTTPS throughout and keep access to customer records to the minimum number of people.
